Proof of Life challenges people to go see more live music, and for artists and venues to innovate, collaborate, and celebrate.
PLACE: St Paul's Creative Centre, 200 Pulteney Street, Adelaide 5000
It's hard to miss the energy and confidence within the South Australian Music Industry at the moment. Be it the rise in homegrown festivals and events, the variety and number of our artists taking it to the world or our leadership in the global music cities discussion, the South Australian Music Industry is making itself heard.
Proof of Life is an opportunity, no matter what your age, to get out and be a part of it and to see more live music. It's a challenge for artists and venues to continue to question expectations and bring new life to the city.
Proof of Life will promote artists, venues, events and new music to new audiences. By putting music into the streets its also an opportunity to question issues relating to live music.
As well as promoting our artsits and venues, Proof of Life will promote a number of other festivals and events, a busking challenge, the SA Music Awards and industry workshops and discussions.
In it's initial year, Proof of Life is a grassroots campaign designed to promote live music and challenge expectations. In 2016 Proof will grow into an open access festival like the Fringe or SALA. Proof of Life is designed and delivered by the artists, venues and organisations of the South Australian Music Industry.
Ask yourself how long it has been since you saw new live music, check the guide and get out and see something new, and be a part of an exciting time in our state's musical history.
Proof of Life is an independently supported festival and supported by a variety of organisations including the State Government (through the Music Development Office), Adelaide City Council, Fresh 92.7, Melt Frank Productions, Musitec and Music SA. The list is growing daily.
