Musitec has teamed up wth IBM, Adelaide City Council, the Music Development Office, New Venture Institute and Adelaide Fringe to deliver TechJam's Connected Music City Challenge. The Challenge is being run in conjunciton with the Connected Music City Program, which aims to activate and differentiate Adelaide as THE place to experience LIVE MUSIC in Australia, enable by technology. The Challenge was launched at St Paul's Creative Centre on 23rd September.
This event gives registered teams the opportunity to pitch their ideas to a panel of key industry judges.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW DO I ENTER THE CHALLENGE?
§ The Connected Music City Challenge Launch kicked off the registration process, but don't fret, you can still register to enter the Challenge up until the 2nd November. Email Fiona@musitec.co to get Concept Proposal forms and an information pack.
§ Concept Proposals should be submitted by COB 9th November 2015 to firstname.lastname@example.org.
§ Teams who are shortlisted to pitch will be informed by Friday 13th November [KM1] , and allocated a seven minute timeslot to pitch their concept on 18th November 2015 at Musitec’s Techjam at St Paul's Creative Centre.
WHERE IS THE EVENT BEING HELD?
St Paul’s Creative Centre is located in a big ‘ol church on the corner of Pulteney & Flinders Streets in the city. The entry is on Pulteney street via the multicoloured doors.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
Anything you need to make your pitch on the night.
IS THE VENUE ACCESSIBLE?
Please let us know in advance if you have any specific accessibility needs (for example if you are unable to use stairs) so we can ensure that everyone can take part.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
We’re encouraging entrepreneurs, programmers, developers, designers, technologists, thinkers and other creative-minded people to get involved in the Connected Music City Challenge. We find that the more diverse talents amongst your team members, the better!

CAN I REGISTER IF I DON'T HAVE A TEAM?
Yes, individuals as well as teams can enter the competition.
I CAN'T MAKE IT TO THE PITCH SESSION. CAN I STILL PARTICIPATE?
Absolutely, if you're shortlisted to pitch your idea - you may send in video documentation of your pitch, or ask someone else to present for you.
WHO ARE THE JUDGES?
Judges will be announced via Facebook (facebook.com/TechJamMusitec) so stay tuned.
WHAT IS THE JUDGING CRITERIA?
§ How effective is the concept in building the reputation of Adelaide as a Connected Music City?
§ How compelling is the proposed city experience and how well does it relate to the theme of live music?
§ How original or innovative is the concept?
§ How realistic is it that the team will be able to implement the proposal (with the support available from the partners)?
§ It is anticipated that (in most cases) technology will be used to enable the experience - how seamless is the technology in supporting a compelling experience?
WHAT ARE THE PRIZES AND WHO WILL THEY BE AWARDED TO?
There will be two major prizes to be awarded at the discretion of the judging panel. One for a FESTIVAL EXPERIENCE (such as Adelaide Fringe), and one for a more general/permanent application:
§ IBM Australia - Global Entrepreneurship Program subscription (12 months) and access to Bluemix, cloud services, hosting, IBM subject specialists, etc.
§ New Venture Institute - Entry into Venture Dorm powered by Mega program.
§ Adelaide City Council - Concierge service (facilitation to assist with approvals and access to infrastructure if required).
§ St Paul's Creative Centre - Six month co-working membership.
§ Musitec Ltd - Six business mentor sessions.

IS THERE ONSITE CAR PARKING?
Unfortunately there is no onsite parking at St Paul’s Creative Centre. You can park in the U-Park on Flinders St or there is some street parking on Flinders St.
HOW DO I GET THERE?
There are bike parks in the courtyard at St Paul’s Creative Centre. Or the Centre is a 15 min stroll from the train station, and about 8 minutes from the Pirie Street tram stop.
LICENSING AND IP
Please note that if you wish to take part, you will need to pitch your idea at the pitch session, which is open for the public to attend. Therefore you will need to be comfortable with disclosing your ideas.
